About Daryl Sütter

I began my career as a generalist educator teaching K-9. After 30 plus years I reached retirement at a relatively early age. I have experienced the satisfaction of “helping others in their times of need”; being able to walk with them, support, guide and encourage them, which gave me the same “rush” of personal satisfaction and achievement that I got when I first began my teaching career. Seeing personal growth in my students and patients has been my life’s purpose.

Education and Qualifications

Daryl earned a Bachelor of Arts from Brandon University, specializing in History, Geography, and Political Science, and later completed a Bachelor of Education (Elementary Generalist) at the University of Calgary. After ten years as a certified Alberta teacher, he completed a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership through San Diego State University and spent the next 20 years teaching and leading in southwestern Alberta. Throughout his career, he has supported leadership innovation, supervised student teachers, mentored colleagues, and advocated for students and community members.

Daryl’s training includes Cognitive Coaching (Foundational and Advanced) and certification as an Intrapersonal Conflict Facilitator. He holds a Master of Counseling from City University of Seattle (Calgary) and is certified as a Trauma Professional through the International Trauma Teaching Institute. Most recently, he completed advanced training in attachment and trauma therapy through ATTCH in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario.
